It’s Term 4 already. Soon the Christmas Holidays will be in sight!!! This Term we welcome Amanda Owen to our room. Amanda is a college teacher who has a 4 week posting with us. We know that Amanda will have a great time at our school.
Our first theme for the term is “Fashion is Fun”. This is a look at fashion and how it has changed through time. But more about this soon. Here is a photo of the results of our introductory lesson. The children had twenty minutes to make a costume out of newspaper and tape to wear to the Queen’s garden party .

The Kainui Speech Contest is fast approaching and the children are busy working on their speeches. The notes they were given to help them are posted in the pages section of our blog if you need to consult them. The school speech contest is this Thursday 16 October and the Kainui contest is on Wednesday 22 October.
