Last Saturday eight children from Mount Biggs School took their calves and lambs to compete in the championships held at Rongotea. Those competing were Oliver and Molly (calf section) and Ella, Claudia, James, Gabrielle, Hannah and Hayley (lamb section).
Oliver swept the field clean with his calf Laser. He won Senior Champion in Care and Attention, Champion in Leading, Champion Beef and Overall Calf.
Ella won Senior Reserve Champion in Care and Attention and Reserve Champion in Calling.
Gabrielle won Intermediate Reserve Champion Lamb Care and Attention.
Claudia won Junior Reserve Champion Care and Attention.
Gabrielle and Hannah were placed third for their group led lambs and Claudia, James and Hayley were placed fourth.
Our school entries received over 100 points overall putting us in second place to the Craig Cup winners. What a fantastic effort!
